ASCI is seeking a Migration Specialist to work with the Migrations Team to create scripts or automated solutions which expedite in moving customer data from competitor products to ASCI solutions. The Migration Engineer opportunity is open to resources globally and would be a remote position reporting to the Manager, Customer Success.

 Role and responsibilities

  • Work directly with the Migrations Team to assist Customer Success Managers with moving customers from competitor products to ASCI solutions
  • Owns the process of moving data from competitive solutions to ASCI products
  • Creates scripts or automated solutions to move data from competitive products
  • Provides converted data to customer and addresses problems with the output
  • Collaborates on migration efforts with Sales, CS, Engineering, and the customer
  • Answer questions during the discovery process regarding migration process and scope
  • Lead technical discovery calls to ensure potential blockers or important features are identified
  • Coordinates on the migration project plan, communicating any important missing features or requirements
  • Manages customer data, including databases or flat files
  • Resolves issues via scripting or official requests to the Migration Engineering team

Technical Requirements

  • Ability to create scripts (PowerShell, Python, etc) as needed to automate a migration using REST or COM APIs
  • Strong information-gathering and searching skills
  • Strong technical skills including knowledge of servers and relational databases
