About the Role

Turn/River Capital is looking for a seasoned Web Strategy Lead to join our Portfolio Operations team. This person will be responsible for partnering with portfolio company leaders to architect and execute digital strategies that drive more volume and/or a higher quality of volume through our funnels. Building on your prior experience, you will develop a playbook of best practices that you can consistently deploy across Turn/River’s investments to produce results. Our ideal candidate’s expertise spans web product management, user experience (UX) design, and conversion rate optimization (CRO). You will work closely with other in-house experts (SEM, SEO, PMM, Sales, and more) to develop plans and plays and ensure a cohesive go-to-market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead testing initiatives to optimize website content and UX/UI, ensuring every company has a robust testing backlog and an “always on” approach to testing.
  • Work with portfolio leaders to establish and improve processes for website management across Turn/River’s portfolio of companies.
  • Develop and implement strategies for personalized user journeys.
  • Perform user research, ranging from conducting user interviews to leveraging website analytics insights.
  • Work with the data science team to establish consistent website performance reporting across the portfolio.
  • Consult on CMS best practices and website migrations.
  • Partner with WebDev and RevOps to ensure marketing automation platforms and CRMs are set up to support web experimentation.
  • Document test results and support pattern matching across the portfolio.
  • Develop a portfolio of vendors we can leverage for website projects (migrations, design, development, content, video, etc.).

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in web strategy, digital marketing, or related roles, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Strong understanding of web analytics, A/B testing, and user experience principles. 
  • Highly analytical, very comfortable with numbers and analysis. Able to see past issues/discrepancies in reporting that may not reflect reality.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills. 
  • Familiarity with content management systems and web development technologies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. 
  • Ability to create wireframes using Figma or similar tools.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of GA4.
  • HTML / CSS / JS strongly preferred, but not required.
  • B2B experience preferred, but not required.

 

Location and Compensation

  • San Francisco, hybrid work model

Base salary range: $200,000 - $220,000 taking into account numerous variable factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and organizational requirements.
